Glans Ring Compatibility

Glans rings are shaft-size specific, as the shaft diameter determines the nominal ring size used in the system. However, there is some built-in flexibility.

In general, a shaft size one size larger or one size smaller will still work with the same set of glans rings.

Example:

If you move from a 28 mm shaft to a 30 mm shaft, your existing glans rings will typically continue to fit and function normally.

The primary exception is when you are sizing down and your current glans ring is already at the upper end of the usable range for your shaft (approximately 82%). In that case, the ring may no longer be an ideal fit on the smaller shaft, and a different ring size may be required.

If you are unsure, or if you are making a larger change in shaft diameter, adding an extra ring size—or choosing a Goldilocks Glans Ring Set—can help ensure proper fit.
