The glans ring is not what holds it on. It starts the locking motion. When tension is applied, the ring pivots backward and begins the mechanism that secures the device.

As the ring pivots, the glans is guided upward and force is transferred into the shaft, not the glans. This movement presses the shaft into position, where most of the holding pressure is applied.

Pulling does not loosen it. It increases grip. The more force applied, the more it clamps down, creating both a twisting and downward pressure that locks it in place.
