FAQs
Does the Grip require a piercing?
No! The Grip make use of and innovative glans ring that holds the penis in the cage. Multiple new and novel additions to the tradition glans ring provide increased grip strength by changing the lateral force into a downward force that grips onto not just the glans but also the shaft.
What material is used for THE Grip?
The grip is printed in ABS. ABS is a safe, durable, and biocompatible plastic for external and consumer-facing applications. It is widely used in healthcare and personal-use products due to its strength, non-toxicity, and skin compatibility. For products like chastity devices or wearables, ABS offers an ideal balance of safety, durability, and comfort, making it a trusted material for long-term use.
In addition, dye free ABS is used for the glans rings. The glans rings maintains the greatest amount of constant skin contact, so undyed ABS is used to provide and even greater level of compatibility.
Does it really stay on?
YES! The Grip uses a innovative glans ring design to provide excellent staying power. While no piercing-free device is foolproof, The Grip provides a great compromise between security and comfort. Everybody’s anatomy is slightly different, so while The Grip will work for the majority of people, you may find it is not the best option for you. If you discover The Grip is not a good fit for you, we encourage your to reach out to our support team. We would love to know why it doesn’t work for you and use that information to improve our design in future releases.
Will it work for an uncircumcised penis?
Unfortunately we just don’t know yet. We are currently testing the grip with a series of beta testers and hope to have more details in the coming weeks.
What is the difference between the glans ring types
- Mild - These grip rings have tabs only at the top. They provide good grip resistance from pulling, but you may occasionally have a nighttime escape as you penis is in it’s most flaccid state. They give more room for comfort if you find issues with the standard Solid Grip
- Solid - These grip rings are the standard. They include tabs at the top and bottom. These grips help avoid any of those flaccid escapes while providing excellent pull resistance.
- Firm - These are the strongest grips. For some they are also the most comfortable. The grips build on the solid grip by adding an offset relief cutout to the top of the glans. This cut out provides relief area if you are one of those that gets a pinch point at the apex. The offset also increase the downward leverage on the shaft which in turn give the ultimate in pull resistance.
